A storm has damaged Inspiration Ranch, impacting their therapy programs for people with special needs.

MONTGOMERY, Texas — A Magnolia nonprofit that supports people with special needs and trauma is recovering after storms swept through the area. The organization is working to clean up so it can continue its summer services.

Inspiration Ranch is known for its equine-assisted therapy programs for adults and children with special needs and trauma. However, in recent days, high winds damaged roofs, downed trees and left debris scattered across the nonprofit’s 40-acre ranch.

President and CEO MG Tindall said they have taken a hit.

“Just a lot of tree damage, fence damage. So a lot of cleanup that we have in front of us,” Tindall said.

The good news is no one was hurt, and all their horses are safe.

A significant concern is safety, as many clients use wheelchairs or walkers. The nonprofit offers therapy for children with disabilities and survivors of abuse.

“It does affect what we do deeply because we’re not able to have people out on the property,” Tindall said.

The staff is racing to ensure the grounds are safe for summer sessions, just days away.

“This tree here was split right down the middle, just inches from causing even more damage during last night’s storm. It’s just one example of the damage in the area,” Tindall said.

Inspiration Ranch is working on the cleanup to be up and running soon, but it can be costly. They hope the community steps in to help with donations so they can prioritize helping those they serve.
